Ok, I'll admit it. I'm obsessed with healthy eating, healthy living, feeding my kids right, and teaching them good nutrition. Here is another great resource that we've enjoyed. Eat Healthy, Feel Great by Dr Sears talks to children about making wise food choices using a traffic light analogy. Foods are labeled either red light foods (that we should not eat), yellow light foods (that we should only eat occasionally), or green light foods (that we can eat all the time). There is actually a tear out poster in the back of the book that we laminated and have hanging in our kitchen. Lucy will often ask if something is a "green light food" and we refer to the poster and discuss our food choices.Friday, April 10, 2009
