EcoStore USA

EcoStore USA is a great eco friendly brand.  I've reviewed their dishwasher powder in the past, and it is still our product of choice and works well.  They are now exclusively making their products in Michigan and selling 17 of those products in Meijer stores.  Just yesterday their Vice President Lyne Downing appeared on WOOD TV, check it out:

I'm all for buying green products, and their being local makes it even better!  Do you shop at Meijer?  Have you tried EcoStore USA products?  What did you think?  I've only tried the dishwasher powder and rinse aid so far but I'm interested to see what else Meijer has.

In the interest of full disclosure, as a thank you for posting this I will receive a free product from EcoStore USA.

  1. I love the laundry detergent. Unfortunately, my Meijer did not have it on their shelves last week when I was buying laundry detergent. Either they moved it or they stopped carrying it. I was really disappointed.

I also really like the bleach alternative Whitener. I haven't used it much, but it really seems to brighten the whites very nicely. I have yet to try soaking tough stains overnight though.

I also have their lemongrass bar soap and I love it.

There were samples of the baby products at the store so I grabbed the baby moisturizer. It is really nice. I used it on my son's dry belly and it did a great job. It is really creamy and runny and doesn't take a long time to rub it in like some lotions do.

One thing though, you say they are local, but it says on the bottle that it is a product of New Zeeland. I thought that was strange because I thought they were local too. I'm confused.

  2. KLW-Thank you for your comment. I work for ecoSTORE USA and I can assure you that we are now manufacturing all of our products here in the US (Michigan). I would assume that the reason your bottle says Product of New Zealand on it is because it was from our last shipment from NZ before Meijer started carrying our new US Made bottles.

If you have any other questions feel free to email me maggie@ecostoreusa.com

  4. I remember seeing these products in Meijer sometime between December and August while I lived through the end of my pregnancy and maternity leave in Kalamazoo/South Haven. I tried to get my mom to buy them, but, she said they were too expensive. Her financial situation is still such that the cheap laundry soap trumps the stuff good for earth. I'm glad to hear it's a good product and not just another fake "green" product put out by some big company. I'll be back in Michigan in April, and will look for these products!
